Taking Staff Training to the Next Level
The purpose of my action research is to improve Staff Training for Camp Staff. I want to improve the delivery method of our training components that will incorporate all intelligence levels and ensure that the whole learner is not just engaged, but actively learning the material that is covered.
I began by asking what would happen if staff training could be changed, not just to make it so it is ‘fun-er’ but really different, where material is not just covered, but that it makes a connection to staff and the role that they play in Summer Camp?
I hope to demonstrate how I am improving my practice, as well as how I can contribute to the body of literature in discussing when the whole person is engaged and plugged into various intelligences utilized in training modes of delivery we can have better staff thereby creating a fabulous summer experience for children.
